they make fine taco and harveys!!! try the pitcher of zombie or margarita, this place is expensive but cool. i tried it on my first night, i was with my friend and don don.. the hotel booker (i met him there). we ordered srtong drinks that made us laugh all through the night. i think this is the only place where you can use your credit card. (only major cards accepted)
"gimmickan areas" sa puerto galera... had 4 pitchers of mindoro sling and i went back at the hotel walking with my hands... if you love partying, the left side of the beach is the perfect place for you. there you will find lots of restaurants and bars open till morning to drop you hot! good and rockin' music to groove you all night. plus they have the santana night back to back with the hits of bob marley to complete your beach experience... tia maria's and other bar offers cocktail drinks and the strong one's!!! talk about the big sling! you never have to miss it!
what to do in putipot island... bring something to drink (water, soda, beer etc) bring crackers as well. now to start... i got my friend right there in the picture, it was a 4pm shot. there's nothing much to do in the island. i spent my time just taking photos of friends. i saw flying dilis around the island. (as what they call it) i also saw a man catching shells for dinner. this place is ideal for camping. i'm just not sure how safe it is to spend the night, but i think they have a 24hr boat on stand by for any emergencies that may happen.
sand's purely white... soft...cold... i suggest you stay in dawal resort. they got friendly staff and very cheap rooms. great food pocket friendly.
pool front rooms--- 1,500.00/night (good for 2)
beach front --------- 2,000.00/night (good for 2)
they also have dormitory and penthouse. i think the penthouse is around 5,000.00/night. good for 5.
since it's expensive to eat inside the resort, i found an alternative. you can buy raw foods from the local fishermen and ask the restaurant attendant to make a special dish for you. fishermen are just around the area. near the baywalk grill. (kilo kilo na bilhin nyo mas mura)... unfortunately, the water surrounding the resort is not ideal for swimming. that's why mother made lots of swimming pools for the guests to enjoy. naturally, it's just for fishing. malansa... fish pond in short.
those are the nipa rooms with loft. 1st floor bedroom is air conditioned, 2ND floor loft bedroom is just a fan room. fishing is also an attraction in this resort. when you catch a fish, you can ask them if they can cook it for you.

the golden susnset resort in calatagan batangas. owned and operated by the salon tycoon ricky reyes. my friends and i went there last 2 months ago to check the place. we stayed there for 2 days and 3 nights. the resort is perfecrly beautiful! i fell in love in an instant. this resort has pools, great ones! they cater type-A & B customers only since it is rated class AAA by the tourism industry. this resort is huge.my friends and i stayed in their nipa room with a loft. every thing's great not until i found out that it was an ant's playground. i decided to call the housekeeping dept. to clean it up. so they did. sprayed baygon and stuffs. after that i suffered from asthma! now, upon checking in, you will pay a certain amount for the d.p then they will assist you to your room. you will ride a golf kart (tokyo drift performance) there you will see how beautiful the resort is. the problem here is they do not honor cash payments inside the resort. so you'll be forced to buy passport. passport is a paper indicating such consumable amount. you will use the passport instead of paying cash. pips take note! they do not allow baons here. cooking is prohibited. every weekend, they have a show. a good one! so better check it out. travel time is 3-4hrs from manila. how to go there? .. take the SLEX exit point is sta.rosa straight ahead to tagatay then calatagan. you wont get lost since Ricky's pictures and sign boards are all over the place.food in the restaurant is not that good..the resort also has a spa----> serendipity spa., private movie center, preserved artifacts that are kept in resort museum.
room rates --- 3,500.00/4,000.00/ 5,000.00 (per night stay or it could be higher )
spa at the serendipity--- 350.00/1hr (Swedish or Thai massage)

i took this picture while i am on my way to the diving site. still in puerto. i realized that although the place is really crowded during summer and holiday seasons, the place is still beautiful and well preserved. green and great. as what i said, galera offers a lot of fun. para sailing right there is a chill to trill seekers.

i used my USM III 75-300mm zoom lens with this. the shot was taken in puerto galera around 4:30pm i love the contrast of the color. it's harmony. very peaceful... what you see there are the speed boats, you can rent it at a cheap price per hour. i'm just not sure about the price when it's peak season. higher for sure.
puerto rates...
fare bus- 160.00/175.00
fare ferry- 380.00/head (2 way) i suggest you take the John Clea boat. it's faster and bigger.
hotel rates- 4,000.00/3,500.00/2,000.00 (per night stay) i suggest to scout for cheap accommodations. that way you would be able to enjoy the place more.

bullet ride, motor boats, fishing, beach party, diving, rock climbing, beach volley, shopping, beach and room massage are just perfect in this place. added things to do in puerto galera---> sleep the whole day (enjoy the cold room of the hotel), drink and get drunk, smoke and get busted, nail art (some sucks!), ink your whole body while it's suffering from sun burn. i guess that's about it.

...p...the mountains of galera, it was a well known port during the spanish era. it is also known as the port of galleons. a perfect destination for a tired body and stressed out mind. 3hrs travel time from manila. white sand beaches and complete water sport activities. reasonable hotel rates and has the ultimate beach party experience.
this is zambales... 4-5 hours drive from manila. a great place to relax, but has limited destinations. the least thing to enjoy here is to ask a bangkero to take you to putipot island. there you will see people with tents. 350.00/night. a single comfort room for all (male/female use) ouch! talk about privacy! nature trip i guess.
from dawal resort you will take a 5-25 min. boat ride to the main island, i suggest you bring something to eat. the island is perfect for photoshoot and barkada nights.
